What are the Categories?

There are two categories – Solo and Group.

How many participants can perform in a group?

• Minimum of 2 participants
• Maximum of 10 participants

What are the age limits for the competition?

There are no age limits

Can a participant submit multiple entries?

Yes, a participant may submit multiple entries. Separate registration is needed.

Can I perform the same act under Initial round and Semifinals?

No, you will have to perform a different act on each round from the same category. For example, if you choose to present a violin recital for one round, then you still have to submit violin recitals but different pieces for other round.

Are there any time limits for performances?

Yes, all acts should be of a maximum 5 minutes in length.

Is ATA membership required to participate in the competition?

ATA membership is (not) required to participate in the competition.

Is there an entry fee for the competition?

What are the acts included in ATA’s GOT TALENT?

All the talents, such as Dubmash, Instrumental recitals, Short films, Mimicry, Stand-up comedy, Magic, Ekapatraibhinayams, Ventriloquism etc., are included. Only singing and dancing are not included in ATA’s GOT TALENT. There is a separate competition named SYE ATA for the same.

Is the competition virtual and does it have multiple rounds?

Yes, participants may submit their entries online for the initial round on or before May31ST. Upon the review of all the entries in the initial round by a panel of experienced judges andpublic polling selected performers will be requested to compete again for Semifinals. Semifinals will take place during the ATA conference in Chicago July 1ST – 3RD. Three finalists from each category will be selected from the semifinals and compete. The finalist from each solo and group category will be presented as the winner of “STAR of ATA’s Got Talent”

How do I submit the entries online?

Initial round

• All the participants will upload their video on u tube and save the URL (While uploading they will have to name the file as ATA’s got talent2016_R1_first and last name initial. So for example if their name is Rana Daggubati. Then they would have to upload as ATA’s got talent2016_IR_RD.
• Once done they will visit the ATA’s Registration page (https://americanteluguassociation.org/cultural-competitions.php) and fill in all your details along with the URL link and register for the competition.
• Once done, Participants will be also receive an email with a link where they will upload their file. Once done all these entries will by uploaded on the ATA’s GOT TALENT FACEBOOK page.
• Public polling scores will be based on the number of likes each act receives on this page.

Can online auditions be submitted for Semifinals?

No all acts will be judged live during the Semifinals. However, some acts can be given specific consideration depending on the acts.

When will the finals be scheduled?

Finals are scheduled to be during the ATA Conference from July 1ST – 3RD, 2016 in Chicago.

Is registration required for finalists?

All the winners who will be participating in the Semifinals will be given free entry to conference. Family members however will have to register for the regular conference prices.

The Organizers are not responsible for any loss or physical injury that occurs to the contestant on account of their participation in the event. The applicant will participate at his/her own risk and can have no claim against ATA/ATA’s GOT TALENT in any regard.

Applicants must agree to abide by all the rules, as changed from time to time by the Organizers. ATA’s GOT TALENT Organizers or ATA is not responsible for the promises (such as recognition and awards by celebrities) as things might change on the fly and might go beyond our control.

To encourage members of Telugu origin and culture, we would like to have majority of the Telugu members participating in these competitions. For solo acts, participant has to be of Telugu origin. For group acts, we would allow 1 or 2 non Telugu origin members in the group, if the group size is more than 6.
